Franz-Josef Hauser is a Vienna-based pianist, songwriter/composer, and educator. With a passion for versatility, he performs across classical and crossover genres, while also embracing pop, rock, and film music.

Whether as a solo pianist or as part of a wide range of live and studio collaborations, his musicality shines through. He has toured extensively across Europe and performed at major festivals, captivating audiences of thousands. In addition to composing original piano works, Franz-Josef writes songs for a variety of artists.

Since 2012, he has been teaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Franz-Josef Hauser is an excellent pianist, sensitive, musical, and impressively versatile. He is clearly comfortable playing a wide variety of musical styles from Bach to pop, all of which he does well.

The Piano Pieces Project
